    Akwesasne Travel announces the 3rd Akwesasne Art Market & Juried Show will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at beautiful Generations Park.
  • Event Cycling Erie Canal Buffalo Albany 7/7/2024
    Every summer, cyclists leave their cars behind in Buffalo to pedal along the historic Erie Canalway Trail to Albany for Parks & Trails New York’s annual Cycle the Erie Canal bike tour. The 400-mile journey along the legendary Erie Canal ends in Albany eight days later. Along the way, cyclists enjoy some of the finest scenery, most interesting history, and unparalleled cycling in the United States.
  • Event Cycling Erie Canal Rome 7/11/2024
    Experience Erie Canal history via a one-hour guided cycling tour followed by a pint in this statewide summer series along New York’s Canals from the Erie Canal Museum. All miles count toward the Canalway Challenge. Registration required: $25 per ride.

Cycling and Paddling the Canals

E-cycling on the Canalway Trail

The Canalway Trail is for everyone to enjoy. To make sure everyone is safe and having a good time, the Canal Corporation has some light restrictions on the types of e-bikes allowed on the trail. There are also reasonable speed limits, and policies regarding the use of electric scooters.
