Grants

The NYS Canal Corporation, a subsidiary of the NY Power Authority, offers TWO grant programs available to local governments, nonprofits, historic/cultural organizations & indigenous communities to provide funding for capital projects and events across the Canal System. There’s funding to implement projects to spark recreation, tourism, accessibility, environmental stewardship, economic growth and events. Whether it’s improving waterfront amenities, trails or parks; encouraging waterfront development; commemorating Canals heritage or culture; or starting or enhancing an existing event, WE CAN HELP!
