In your Inbox, look for the new sender for notifications from: nyscanals-NTM@regroupcloud.com 

If you already receive Notice to Mariners (NTM) via email, you do NOTHING.

Your information has been moved to the new system.

Instructions

If you want to sign up to START receiving notifications BY TEXT MESSAGE - or - WANT to review your PROFILE in NTM, here is what you do:

In a web browser on your desktop or smartphone, navigate to Regroup : or enter this URL https://nypa.app.regroup.com/contacts/sign_in?sso=off 

Whether you are currently enrolled in NTM or a new user, if this is your first time signing in to the new distribution system—you need to create a password, even if you have a password from the former distribution system.

  1. Click on the First Time Users Create Password button.
  2. Follow directions to update your password from the former NTM system or create a profile if you are a new user. Note: Your password should be 8-15 characters. It must include lowercase and uppercase characters, and at least one number and one symbol.
  • You will receive an Instructions to create new password email:
    • Use Create New Password: If it's your initial login, whether you are a new user or a past user of the former NTM system, it's best to reset your password using this method. It allows you to create a single password for both desktop and Mobile App use, if you decide to download the App in the future.
  • If you happen to see a different Login screen, click "here" in "No SSO Credentials click here" then enter your Email or Mobile Phone Number and password to log in.
  • All other info requested in the profile is OPTIONAL to complete, however it does help us plan for future work from the insights that information gives. If you have questions, please contact public.info@canals.ny.gov.

I signed up but I'm not getting any Notice to Mariners alerts.
  1. Check the Home Page on the NYS Canal Corporations website www.canals.ny.gov to see if there are any recent Notice to Mariners alerts in the region which you signed up to receive.
  2. If there are recent Notice to Mariners alerts, verify that the email notifications are not in your SPAM or JUNK email folders.
  3. Review or update your contact information to verify that your phone number for text alerts is correct at Regroup : or enter this URL https://nypa.app.regroup.com/contacts/sign_in?sso=off
I don’t want Notice to Mariners alerts anymore. How do I unsubscribe?
  1. You can unsubscribe from Notice to Mariners alerts at any time on a desktop using the Regroup website or by using the Mobile App
  2. Log in at Regroup : or enter this URL https://nypa.app.regroup.com/contacts/sign_in?sso=off on either a desktop or Mobile App.

  2. To manage the regions selected in the My Subscription section:
  3. Click the Unsubscribe button to unsubscribe from a region.
  4. Click the Email, SMS, or Call/Voice dropdown to turn on or off receiving communication on the selected emails or smartphones.

Mobile App

  1. Navigate and log in to the Regroup Mobile App at Regroup : or enter this URL https://nypa.app.regroup.com/contacts/sign_in?sso=off
  2. Click the Profile icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. The Profile page opens.
  4. Click the Channels tab.
  5. Click Self-Subscribed Channels and locate the region(s) you want to delete.
  6. Click the dropdown arrow ( > ) button next to the region(s) you want to delete.
  7. Click the Leave button.
Is there a Mobile App I can download?

Yes, you can download the Regroup Mass Notification Mobile App from Google Play on Android devices and the App Store on iOS devices. Downloading the App will allow you to update your information or cancel receiving Canal Alerts.

Note: The Regroup Mass Notification Mobile App is available only on iOS 11 or above and Android 7 or above.

How do I update my information using the Mobile App?
  1. After downloading the Regroup mobile app, use this procedure for your initial login. Use your Canal Alerts password or create a new password during your initial sign-in.
  2. Here is how you log in and create or reset the password:
  3. Navigate to the Regroup mobile app and click the icon to open it.
  4. Click the country drop-down menu and select the USA.
  5. Enter your email, the one you used to sign up for Canal Alerts, in the Email field.
  6. Enter NYPA in the Network field.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter your password in the Password field if you have already created the password.
  9. Otherwise, do the following to create or reset a password:
  10. Click Reset Password.
    1. Enter your email, the one you used to sign up for Canal Alerts, in the Email field. Note: When resetting the password on the web application, you can provide a phone number unique to this account to receive the password reset link as SMS to your phone number.
  11. Click Reset Password.
    1. Click Ok on the pop-up message confirming sending the reset password link to your email. Note: The password you enter should be 8-15 characters. It must include lowercase and uppercase characters, and at least one number and one symbol.
      • You receive a Reset Password Instruction email with two password reset options:
      • Change My Password: If it’s your initial login on the Mobile App, we prefer you reset your password using this method. It allows you to create a single password for both desktop computer and Mobile App.
      • Change My Password (Mobile): This method is only used to create or reset the password for the Mobile App.
  12. Once you have created a password, you can login to the Mobile App and make updates to your information.
