Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Perinton

June 25, 2015

 

Mariners are advised of construction of a new pipeline bridge (E-130A) over the Erie Canal between Ayrault Road Bridge (E-130) and Palmyra Road Bridge (E-131).  The placement of the pipe bridge over the canal is expected to take place starting on Friday, June 26th and be completed on Tuesday, June 30th.  This may cause occasional delays.

The overhead clearance of the new bridge will be 17.1’ at a normal pool level of 462.4’ and 16.5’ at a maximum pool elevation of 463.0’

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
