Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Washington County

October 1, 2021

Mariners are advised that bridge inspections will be occurring on bridges over the Champlain Canal according to the following schedule:

• Tuesday, October 5 – Lock 6 Road Bridge (C-11) in Fort Edward, Fort Miller Road Bridge (C-12) in Fort Edward, and North River Road Bridge (C-13) in Fort Edward.
• Wednesday, October 6 – East Street Bridge (C-17) in Fort Edward, New Swamp Road (C-19) in Kingsbury, and Baldwinsville Corners Road Bridge (C-22) in Kingsbury.

Channel width may be reduced, and slight delays may occur due to a Bucket Boat and safety boat moving below each bridge being inspected. Inspectors should be contacted on Marine Channel 13 before proceeding.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed after receiving clearance to pass.
