Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Amsterdam

September 17, 2021

Mariners are advised that an inspection of the Amsterdam Pedestrian Bridge (E-19B) over the Erie Canal will be conducted on Saturday, September 18.

Channel width may be reduced, and slight delays may occur due to a bucket boat and safety boat moving below the bridge.

Boaters should contact inspectors on Marine Channel 13. Boaters must reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed after receiving clearance to pass.
