Erie Canal

Montgomery and Herkimer Counties

September 15, 2021

Mariners are advised that bridge inspections are occurring on the Erie Canal according to the following schedule:

Wednesday, September 15 - River Rd. Bridge (E-27) in the Town of Minden.
Thursday, September 16 - Lansing Rd. Bridge (E-29) in the Town of Danube.
Friday, September 17 – Moss Rd. Bridge (E-39) in the Town of Schuyler.

Channel width may be reduced, and slight delays may occur due to a vessel mounted manlift or under bridge inspection unit (UBIU) and safety boat moving below each bridge being inspected. Boaters should contact inspectors on Marine Channel 13.

Boaters must reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed after receiving clearance to pass.
