Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Frankfort/Whitesboro

August 5, 2021

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Erie Canal Lock E-19 (Frankfort) and Lock E-20 (Whitesboro) will be closed to navigation on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 7:00 am for dredging activities just west of Lock E-19.

It is anticipated that this section of the Canal will reopen to navigation at noon on the same day.

Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.

The Canal Corporation urges all users to register to receive updates through the "Notice to Mariners" notification program at www.canals.ny.gov.
