Reduced overhead clearance: Erie Canal Lock E19 Frankfort Bridge E-40

Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal - Frankfort

July 10, 2021

Mariners are advised that high water levels of the Erie Canal have reduced the vertical clearance of Railroad Bridge (E-40) over the Erie Canal to 19.47’, which is below the governing 21’ for this section of canal. Railroad Bridge (E-40) is located just east of Erie Canal Lock E-19 in Frankfort.
