Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Lockport & Brockport

May 20, 2021

Mariners are advised of rip-rap stone placed in the navigation channel adjacent to selected walls, to provide temporary stabilization, in the following locations:

City of Lockport - south wall, approximately 750 feet east of Lock E-34/35 (marked with green lateral aids to navigation)
Village of Brockport - south wall, immediately east of the Smith St. Bridge over the Erie Canal (marked with green lateral aids to navigation)

Mariners should stay clear and not attempt to moor in these locations.
