Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal – Orleans County

October 6, 2024

 

Mariners are advised that the Canal between Hulberton Rd. Lift Bridge (E-191) and Park Ave. Lift Bridge (E-181) over the Erie Canal is closed to navigation, including any boating activity, due to police activities in this area of the Canal until further notice.

Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time.
