Notice to Mariners

Cayuga-Seneca Canal – Seneca Lake

October 1, 2024

 

Mariners are advised that Seneca Lake lighted Aid to Navigation, Fl 25ft "139" (White) has been reported extinguished.  Boaters should use extreme caution as this aid marks a stone breakwater. Crews have been notified. Updates will follow.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time.
