 Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal – Monroe County

September 27, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of a fallen tree partially blocking the navigation channel from the south bank of the Canal between Trimmer Rd. Bridge (E-176) and Adams Basin Lift Bridge (E-178) over the Erie Canal in the town of Ogden. Boaters should caution when traversing this area of the Canal. Crews have been notified. An update will follow.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time.
