Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal – Oswego

September 23, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of a lock inspection occurring at Oswego Canal Lock O-6 in Oswego throughout the day on Tuesday, September 24^th. Boaters may encounter an inspection boat in the lock chamber and surrounding area and should use caution, come to a full stop and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph. The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Delays may occur due to intermittent closures during the inspection. 

Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
