Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Stillwater to Northumberland

September 13, 2024

 

Mariners are advised that a rowing shell race will take place on the Champlain Canal on Saturday, September 14^th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event will start at the Stillwater Riverfront Park, proceeding north, and finish at the Town of Saratoga Boat Launch, between Champlain Canal Lock C-4 in Stillwater and Lock C-5 in Northumberland. Approximately 25 rowing shells will be participating. Race monitors will be present on the course.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting the event and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 mph.
