Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Niskayuna

August 19, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of an underwater dive repair occurring on the Erie Canal on the following schedule:

• Monday, August 19^th through Monday, September 30^th – Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory water intake, south side of the navigation channel between Buoy G "53" and Buoy G "55".

The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should use caution and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph in this area.                               A chart showing the affected area can be found at
