Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Lock C-8 & C-9

August 16, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of a downed power transmission line, which has been deenergized, located in the Champlain Canal between Lock C-8 (Fort Edward) and Lock C-9 (Kingsbury). Due to these circumstances, the canal between Lock C-8 and C-9 is now closed to navigation until further notice. Utility crews have been notified and are on scene making repairs. Updates will follow.

Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
