Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Lock E-12 to Lock E-15

August 15, 2024

 

The Erie Canal between Locks E-12 and E-15 will reopen at noon Friday, August 16^th. Mariners are advised that some buoys may be off station and that water levels between Lock E-11 and Lock E-12 may be below normal navigation levels while the canal continues to refill.

 

The Canal Corporation anticipates reopening Erie Canal Locks E-11 through E-8 on Saturday, August 17^th.

 

The Canal Corporation urges all users and stakeholders to register to receive updates through the Notice to Mariners notification program by clicking here.
