Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal - Lyons

August 7, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of a lock inspection occurring on the Erie Canal on the following schedule.

• Friday, August 9^th – Erie Canal Lock E-27, (Lyons) – Lock chamber and surrounding area.

Boaters may encounter an inspection boat in the lock chamber and surrounding area and should use caution and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph.  Delays may occur during the inspection. Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
