Erie Canal - Waterford

Mariners are advised of underwater inspections occurring on the Erie Canal on the following schedule:

  • Monday, July 29th– Erie Canal Guard Gate 1 (Crescent) - In the Waterford Flight.
  • Tuesday, July 30th – Erie Canal Guard Gate 2 (Crescent) - In the Waterford Flight.

 

The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting these areas and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
