 Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Tonawanda

July 19, 2024

 

Mariners are advised of a fireworks display during the Canal Fest of the Tonawandas at the Webster St. Bridge (E-248) in Tonawanda on Saturday, July 20^th at dusk. The Canal in the vicinity of the bridge, including a 200-foot radius around the bridge, will be closed to navigation at 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at approximately 10:15 p.m., after the event. Boaters should also be aware of the SIKA Cup Challenge boat race on Saturday, July 20^th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Navigation through the area will be restricted, with law enforcement present.
