Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Amsterdam to Tribes Hill

June 14, 2024

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Erie Canal Lock E-11 in Amsterdam to Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners has reopened to navigation. However, boaters must use caution, proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph and remain on the north side of the navigation channel. Police vessels will be present on this level of the Canal. Boaters may also experience intermittent closures or delays due to police activities.
