Underwater Inspections: Oswego Canal Lock O7 and Lock O8 Oswego

Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal – Oswego

May 17, 2024

Mariners are advised of underwater inspections occurring on the Oswego Canal in Oswego starting on the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, May 21 – Oswego Canal Lock O-8, (Oswego) - Northeast Approach Wall
  • Wednesday, May 22 – Oswego Canal Lock O-8, (Oswego) – Southwest Approach Wall
  • Thursday, May 23 – Oswego Canal Lock O-7, (Oswego) - Northwest Approach Wall  

The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should use caution and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph in this area.
